The Finish Line

Finishing is such hard work. Well, sometimes it's hard and sometimes it's not, but I always find it drudgery. But I can now finally move two more items from my list of UFOs to FOs. I began them in March, and they didn't take much more than a day or so each to knit, and they've been sitting and waiting for me to finish them.

I call them Autumn Calorimetry and Pea Soup Mitts.

Yarn
Calorimetry—Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted Multi in Golden Holiday
Mitts—Patons Classic Wool Merino in Leaf Green

Needles
Size 8, 5 mm

Patterns
Calorimetry by Kathy Schoendorf
Fingerless Mitts by Ann Budd

I know just what you mean about finishing a project. All I have to do to finish two projects is to add fringe and beads to a scarf and seam up a pillow cover and put tassels on it and they will be completely finished, yet I've been procrastinating for several days now. Hope I'm motivated tomorrow because they are both gifts I'd like to mail.
