Random Faves

Favorite #1—FO
Who doesn't love a finished object? I finished my Briochette scarf a couple of weeks ago.

Now, if only I loved blocking as much as knitting...

Favorite #2—Sock Stash Knitdown
The Stash and Burn Group on Ravelry is holding a Sock Stash Knitdown this year for those of us who have a tad bit too much sock yarn in the stash. Each month, prizes are drawn from the names of knitters with finished objects made of sock yarn. My hope is to knit down at least one ball of yarn per month, and so far I'm on track.

January—Waving Lace Socks, made of Araucania Ranco Multy

February/March—Clockwork, made of Malabrigo Sock and Plucky Knitter MCN Fingering

April—Briochette, made of Three Irish Girls Adorn (see above)

May—Faceted Rib Socks, in Abstract Fiber Mighty Sock (on the needles)

Favorite #3—Craft Gossip
I am loving this blog. All sorts of crafty goodness (or should I say good craftiness) pops up here. Use the menu at the left to look at particular types of crafts. My favorite? The Home and Garden section.

Favorite #4—Talenti Gelato
The season for frozen treats is nearly upon us, and I just discovered Talenti at my local supermarket. My favorite flavor is Sea Salt Caramel. Sweet/salty combo = delicious! Just ignore the nutrition information and don't eat more than 1/4 pint in one sitting!

Favorite #5—Rain
This rainy weekend is making my grass seed grow, and has afforded us the perfect weather for reading and knitting, perhaps the last weekend of the season perfect for slouching... although I have to say, I'm ready for some sunny days around here! And the lawn really needs to be mowed!
